Woolly winding

There was a thread on http://knittyboard.com/ earlier this week in which winding lace yarn is discussed. It's interesting how some folk hate it, others enjoy it or enrol members of the family to help. I fall into the enjoy it camp and just love the transformation. As an example I bought the above skein of 2ply cashmere before Xmas, was really pleased with the colour at the time but when I took it out of my stash a couple of weeks ago wasn't too sure. In fact it is a bit paler than the pics. However when I wound it to produce:-

I'm really happy again.

Spooky!!

During the Easter Hols went walking up through Dolgarrog Woods and to avoid the hordes of tourists took a higher level track and my attention was taken by this old gnarled holly tree. Took this photo of it. Later in the week played around with Photoshop and used the charcoal drawing tool and this is the result.
Can you see the face in it - the more I looked at this the more the face drew my attention. Spooky or what??
