Ravelry invite

I received my Ravelry invite a couple of weeks ago but it's only this week that I've had a chance to explore the site.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Not to sure how I feel about it all at the mo.

Can definitely see the advantages of the site and the site really does offer lots of useful features but think what's putting me off at the moment is the thought of all the time required to take pics of stash yarn, make the requisite entries etc. I already get cross with myself for spending loads of time on the internet rather than actual knitting.

The more I think about it the more I think I'll probably use it selectively ie there's no way I'll use the friends section (I'm one of those few people who cannot for the life of me see what the point of Facebook, MySpace etc is) or the forum (I'm too committed to Knitty) but will use it for reporting on yarns and projects. On reflection think what it's going to offer me is it's facility as a reference source.

Also by creating my entries in small bites, perhaps while listening to one of my facourite radio programmes or Cast On podcasts it will be manageable.
